Stanley Oriental

Though technically not an island getaway, the relaxed coastal vibes of the Stanley Oriental and its neighbouring area makes this spot a nice little escape from the concrete jungle. Head to the nearby Stanley Main Beach and go paddle-boarding with the pup, hop on a ferry to visit Po Toi island or dine at one of the many dog-friendly eateries at Stanley Plaza, before retiring back to your 1,200 square foot suite to watch the sunset from the balcony.

The latest addition to the pet-friendly hotel staycation package is the newly opened WM Hotel in Sai Kung, which opened its doors earlier this month. Pawrents can book the Premier Greenview room, complete with a private terrace, and take advantage of the the hotel's close proximity to the dog-friendly Sha Ha beach, where you can partake in an array of paddling activities with your pooch, or head into Sai Kung town and take a short excursion to one of the many beautiful neighbouring islands for an explore! In the City

ALVA Hotel by Royal

If you and your pooch fancy some pampering after a day of hiking, then ALVA could be the escape for you. Located in Sha Tin and overlooking the Shing Mun River, you're equal distances from both Ma On Shan Country Park and Lion Rock Country Park - both great options for a day of exploring the beautiful countryside Hong Kong has to offer. If you fancy taking your adventures to the cycle paths, ALVA has bicycles for you to rent. The Arca

If you're looking for a break on the island but still want a bit of peace and quiet, dog-friendly hotel, The Arca, in Wong Chuk Hang could be the spot for you! Enjoy a meal or afternoon tea with your pooch at their dog-friendly restaurant, Arca Society, and even order from their doggie menu which includes items such as Pawghetti Bolognese or Cheesebarker Burger. Eaton HK

If you're looking for something a little long-term, Eaton HK is a pet-friendly hotel offering long-term staycation packages for two people and one dog starting from $18,000 for 30 nights. The Figo

If you're looking for a place to stay in the city, The Figo in Sheung Wan is your best pet-friendly option. From $1,240 you can enjoy a complimentary goody bag of treats, an afternoon tea set to enjoy in the privacy of your own room and access to the doggie paddling pool on their terrace. The price above covers one dog (under 25kg) but you can add a second for $250 per night. Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong

Located along the North Point promenade, Hyatt Centric, is a lovely city staycation for you and the pups. Enjoy a stroll along the dog-friendly harbour front or indulge in some window shopping in the connecting pet-friendly shopping mall, Harbour North. The hotel comes with a dog-friendly terrace, and an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your meals alfreseco. Le Méridien

Pet parents can now enjoy a pet-friendly staycation at the dog-friendly Cyberport with the new Pawcation package at Le Méridien. Enjoy pet amenities from Buddy Bites in your welcome kit, and dine at one of the hotel's two pet-friendly restaurants; UMAMI Izakaya and Southside Bistro. The Pawcation package also includes a Picnic basket or afternoon tea for two guests at Southside Bistro, which overlooks the dog-friendly grassy terrace and big screen at Cyberport. Luxury


The Langham Hotel


Though not advertised, The Langham Hotel in Hong Kong, follows suit of their Australian establishments, and allows pets under 15kg to stay with their owners at the 5-star luxury hotel. Previously named the 'Pampered Pet Staycation', owners can book the Superior City View Room and have access to the usual pet staycation amenities such as water and food bowls, and potty pads. Be sure to follow their rules and book your next city retreat and spoil your pup with the life of luxury.

The Mandarin Oriental

This one is for our smaller explorers as the Mandarin Original, along with its sister establishment, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, only allow cats or dogs under 4.5kg. Add $1,000 for amenities such as food, water bowl, sleeping mat and toys, and of course, you can't visit the Mandarin Oriental without indulging in a little high tea.

The Murray Hong Kong

The Murray is one of the few dog-friendly hotels that is blessed with outdoor dining space, meaning you and the pup aren't confined to dining in your room at mealtimes like most other establishments. Enjoy your meal at The Tai Pan, Garden Lounge, or take refuge in Murray Lane's semi-outdoor space if it's wet out. Another bonus, their Pawsome Staycation package allows up to two pets per room and there isn't a weight restriction either! The Murray also occasionally host a pet-friendly afternoon tea for you and your pooch, Paws for Tea, so keep an eye out for this and upcoming pet-friendly events.

Ritz Carlton

If you're really looking to splash out, you and your pooch can enjoy the Pawfect Stay with the Ritz-Carlton, starting from $3,799 per night.
